Entrepreneurial MBA: 2023 Reading List

Did you know that less than 9% of Entrepreneurs have MBAs?

This means most of us learn on the job through podcasts, YouTube videos, major failures, books, or some mixture of the five. Over the course of the last 15 years, I have read a plethora of books that have helped me on my entrepreneurial journey. That said, if I could go back and start all over again, I would change one thing. As a result, my growth would have been 10x.

What core concept does this book satisfy?

Is this a book on Leadership, Finance, Operations, Growth, Product, Service, Sales, Marketing, or some combination of both?

Here are the patterns that I typically see:

  1. Leadership Books

  2. Operations & Growth books

  3. Sales books

  4. Sales & marketing books

  5. Marketing books

  6. Product books

  7. Leadership & Operations books

  8. Finance books

  9. Growth books

  10. Mindset

But I have yet to find a complete, exhaustive book or course that covers all 8 concepts and, more importantly, orchestrates them well. Stay Tuned as we are developing a comprehensive course; a pragmatic Entrepreneurial MBA of sorts.

What are the important concepts to focus on?

Active reading is the most crucial piece of professional development books. You are listening to learn New --> Knowledge, Attitude, Habits, and Skills from other people's experiences. No matter what, every book will provide you with new Knowledge, Attitude, Skills and Habits if you are paying attention.

Confidence/Competence = Knowledge + Experience

 Experience = Attitudes + Skills + Habits

Therefore,

Confidence/Competence = Knowledge + Attitudes + Skills + Habits
